Planet Zoo 2 Multiplayer and Visiting Other Zoos

How do player features and zoo visits work?

Use Franchise for online animal trading and Community Challenges, and Frontier Workshop to download player-made creations. The current listings classify the game as single-player; they do not confirm live visits to a friend’s zoo or co-op building.

What Franchise lets you do with other players

In Franchise, trade Habitat Animals through Animal Trading and take part in Community Challenges. You can share Conservation Credits between zoos in your own Franchise, but cash is not shared. Franchise requires an online connection.

To start, choose Franchise from the game’s mode menu and sign in to your Frontier account. Choose Start New Franchise, set its name and appearance, then select a biome and continent for the first zoo. Once inside, use the current Animal Trading interface to list or find eligible habitat animals. Trading is an online connection between players; the official guide does not describe it as visiting or controlling another player’s zoo.

What Workshop sharing means

The Frontier Workshop is another way to use community creations. The store listing and Frontier guide describe browsing or downloading player-made blueprints and other creations, then subscribing to or placing them in your own zoo. This is a way to reuse an uploaded build; it is not evidence that you have entered the creator’s live zoo. Check the individual creation’s requirements and the in-game Workshop for current availability.

Can you visit another player’s zoo?

Frontier’s pages describe your own Franchise network, animal trading, challenges, and downloadable creations. The store pages classify Planet Zoo 2 as a one-player/single-player game. I found no official instructions for joining a friend’s active zoo, touring it in real time, or editing it together. So treat live visits and cooperative building as unconfirmed, rather than assuming that “connected zoos” means shared multiplayer sessions.

If a patch adds a visit or co-op option, look for it in the current mode menu and official patch notes. Until then, use Franchise for the documented online trading and community features, or Workshop to bring a player-made blueprint into your own zoo.
