How many animals are in Planet Zoo 2?

The Planet Zoo 2 Zoopedia listed 136 selectable animal entries on October 15, 2026; Frontier’s launch announcement says more than 130 animals. The count is a dated snapshot and can change; it does not show which edition unlocks each animal.

The URL path matters: Frontier’s sequel reference is /2/zoopedia. A saved request to the generic /zoopedia?region=871&version=pc path returned a page titled Zoopedia - Planet Zoo, which is for the original game. If a search result opens that older page, switch to the sequel-specific link above before checking a species.
