Is Planet Zoo 2 out now?

Yes. Frontier’s launch announcement says Planet Zoo 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Steam lists October 13, 2026 as the release date. The game has already launched; if your platform still shows a purchase or install prompt, check the store page and the account library for that specific region and edition.

Frontier’s Help page gives the original all-platform unlock time as 3pm BST on October 13, 2026. For the corresponding time in another region, use Frontier’s release-time map linked from that page.

Could I preload it?

Frontier’s FAQ says players who pre-ordered could pre-load Planet Zoo 2 on Steam, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Preloading let eligible customers download before launch; it did not mean the game could be played before the October 13 unlock. Since launch has passed, use the relevant store or library to install or update the game rather than looking for a preload button.

For historical Steam timing, Game Beacon reported that the Steam preload opened 24 hours before launch. That timing is secondary reporting; Frontier’s FAQ is the source for the supported preorder platforms. Do not assume the same preload start time applies to every platform or region.

Was there a beta or separate early-access period?

The official release and Help pages reviewed here give the public release time and preload availability, but do not announce a separate public beta or an earlier-play period. “Preload” refers to downloading in advance, not early access to gameplay. Search results about a possible beta or creator access are not proof that a public beta was available.

If you already own the game, open its platform store or library and check the current install/play button. For an account-specific purchase, edition, or regional availability issue, use the store listing for your platform and region; Frontier’s launch page confirms the supported platform families but does not show your individual entitlement.
